Springbok Casino tournaments: claims, rules and the empty tab
Springbok says it runs several daily slot tournaments and freerolls, but its own pages disagree about where they happen, and the lobby's Tournaments tab showed nothing while logged out on 9 October 2026. The T&Cs do contain tournament rules, and prizes count as free money capped at 5x.
Here is what is claimed, what conflicts and how to check for yourself.

What Springbok says about its slot tournaments
Springbok's tournaments page describes several daily slot tournaments and freerolls, with larger monthly freerolls on top.
A slot tournament is a timed contest: entrants spin a chosen slot, usually with a set number of credits or minutes, and a leaderboard ranks them by result. A freeroll costs nothing to enter; a buy-in tournament charges an entry fee that goes towards the prizes. Springbok's page uses both terms but does not list a current schedule, entry fees or a list of games, and we do not repeat the prize-fund claims it makes.
Where Springbok's pages disagree
Older promotions copy
The promotions page and the tournaments page say tournaments run only in the download casino, the desktop program players once installed.
Newer pages and the lobby
The download page and later articles say Springbok is browser play only, with no download or app. The browser lobby has a Tournaments tab, but nothing was listed in it while logged out on 9 October 2026.
How to read it: the download-only line looks like copy left over from before the move to browser play. Whether tournaments now run in the browser lobby could not be confirmed from public pages. Do not install any program to look for them; Springbok says none is needed.
What the T&Cs say about tournament play
The terms include a section on slot tournaments, and two points stand out for anyone thinking of joining one.
- Entry costs, meaning buy-ins, add-ons, re-buys, are taken from your real-money balance, not from bonus funds.
- Tournament prizes appear in the T&Cs list of free money, so withdrawals from a prize are capped at 5x the prize unless that event says otherwise.
- The usual bonus rules, such as the R100 bet limit while wagering, may apply to a prize credit; read the event's own terms.
| Format | Entry | Prize cashout |
|---|---|---|
| Freeroll | Free | 5x the prize |
| Buy-in | Fee and any re-buys, from real money | 5x the prize |
How to check for a live tournament yourself
- Sign in to the browser lobby. The tab may only fill for logged-in players.
- Open the Tournaments tab. Look for an event name, start and end time, the slot used and the entry cost.
- Read the event terms. Note whether it is a freeroll or a buy-in, how re-buys work and how prizes are paid.
- Ask support if the tab is empty. Live chat can say whether any events are scheduled.
Before you pay a buy-in
Treat a buy-in like any other spend: set the total for entries, re-buys and add-ons before the clock starts, and stop when it is used. Leaderboards reward volume and luck, and re-buys can turn a small entry into a large bill quickly. Springbok's responsible-gaming page says daily or monthly deposit limits can be set by contacting support, so ask for one before a tournament if you want a hard ceiling; the help-lines page explains how.
If you prefer rewards that do not depend on a leaderboard, double comps on the 2X slots and ordinary comp points build up on normal play.
